Each year the Wyoming Department of Transportation presents two awards for the smoothest pavement of that year. The two awards are for two different types of asphalt. One of them is with Plant Mix Wearing Course (mostly on interstates), and one for without Plant Mix Wearing Course (mostly secondary highways).
Over the years, our company has won these awards on a regular basis, including multiple years where we have held both awards in the same year. Over the last two years, we have won each of the awards. In 2021 we won the plant mix wearing course award for a stretch of I-80 between Rawlins & Sinclair, and in 2022, we won the award for the stretch on Highway 789 towards Baggs, immediately south of I-80.
Our commitment to produce the highest quality product shows itself each and every year, as our crews continue to work well with WYDOT, and win these types of awards consistently. We plan to do the same in 2023!
